In practice, this means that all product-contact surfaces must be easy to clean, dead space-free in design, and resistant to chemicals. In addition, documented manufacturing steps, complete material traceability, and certified welding procedures are mandatory. At Weiss Apparatebau, we exclusively work with qualified professionals, certified suppliers, and tested materials to fully meet these demanding standards. Surfaces are, for example, electropolished according to customer specifications, and geometries are precisely adapted to the process using CAD – all in compliance with applicable standards such as AD 2000, ASME BPE, the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), FDA, EHEDG, and cGMP guidelines.
